$375 per Adult | $180 per child (3-12) | $236 per teen (13-17)| $141 Extension for Adventure Bar and Bat Mitzvah Class Students for May-Dec

How it works:

  • Please build the membership package that suits your family. Are you single? Buy one adult membership. A family with 1 adult and 3 teens? A family with 2 adults and 2 children? We have those too. No boiler plate family membership here; you customize it to your situation.
  • Membership is for the calendar year of 2018. It will not be pro-rated, and expires on Dec 31, 2018
  • Any part of the $375 for which you have not received services for, is tax-deductible. For example, if you only attend one retreat for $145, the remaining of the $230 converts to a tax-deductible donation.
  • Membership for Children (3-12) is $180 each; Teens (13-17) are $236 each per year, Graduates of the Adventure B'nai Mitzvah program can extend their membership, which ends when the class ends, until Dec 31, 2018 for $141. Please note, a child membership can only be purchased with an adult membership. Teens may have their own membership.

We introduced this reduced rate in 2012. This was the letter we sent in explanation:

Rabbi Jamie Korngold, Adventure RabbiAdventure Rabbi Friends,

We're celebrating! The Adventure Rabbi Program is now 10 years old.

To mark this momentous occasion, we're offering our All Access Pass Membership Option -- at 2002 prices.

It's only $375, but includes up to $756 worth of programming during 2012.

More important, you can say, "I Belong!" and have the knowledge that you are enabling the Adventure Rabbi program to be financially sustainable.

What Have We Done in 10 Years?

  • We've ignited the spirituality of thousands of Jews across the world, showing them that Judaism can make their lives more meaningful. Our participants have gone on to marry Jewish spouses they met at our events, make aliyah to Israel, and go to rabbinical school. But most important, they are walking around loving being Jewish.
  • We've ignited a national conversation on the nature of God with my book The God Upgrade, which was named one of the ten best religion books of 2011 by Publisher's Weekly.
  • We've made connecting Judaism and the outdoors normative in the Jewish world. Think about it. Who knew about praying outside ten years ago?
  • We host three popular retreats each year (Passover, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur), gathering hundreds of people at a time from around the country, for an intense, immersive Jewish community experience. People feel like they've met their new best friends after being on our retreat for just a few hours.
  • We've trained rabbis and rabbinical students from all across the US, teaching them how to integrate Judaism and nature.
  • We've expanded our team to include Rabbi Evon Yakar (based in Lake Tahoe, California), who has enabled us to expand our programming with excellence. With Rabbi Yakar, we've created a new methodology for Bar and Bat Mitzvah students. We now have over 60 students a year in our program. If our program didn't exist, the majority of these students would have no Jewish education.
  • We've opened a branch office in Lake Tahoe, California, in partnership with Temple Bat Yam, offering Adventure Rabbi-style programming in California
  • I've become the go-to rabbi for USA Today,, and have been featured by so many prominent media outlets, that if I named them all, I'd be bragging.
  • I've published two adult non-fiction books God In The Wilderness, The God Upgrade, and one children's book Sadie's Sukkah Breakfast, with five more children's books to be released over the next three years. These books have expanded the reach of my message to tens of thousands of people. I've also released two free eBooks, Mommy, Can I Have A Puppy? and Kids Can't Say Schehechiyanu.
  • Oh, and I married my handsome husband and we had two really cute kids.

Why Should You Purchase a Membership?

  • We need your help.
  • We run a lean organization where I am the only full time employee. And all of our staff agrees to work for much less than the going wage for their positions because we are passionate about what we do.
  • But we still need to pay for insurance, renting facilities, as well as the time it takes to put on excellent programs.
  • We are trying to wean off of grants. Grants are unsustainable income. Funders will grant money for two years, but seldom longer. They also often have their own agendas, which side-track us and leave us hanging and off on a tangent when their money dries up.
  • We have discontinued non-profitable programs as much as we can.
  • We have increased revenue for retreats and life-cycle events and put our focus on revenue-producing programs and events.
  • Despite all this, we still need to boost our income in a sustainable way if we want to continue programs that cost more to run than they bring in such as:
Friday Night Services, Shabbat Hikes, Shabbat on Skis, Tuesday Night Hikes and Learns, Pastoral Care, Full Moon Hikes, non-retreat Holiday Celebrations, and more.

Please, we need you to join us today >>
